I’m so excited and nervous to share my latest project with you all!
I’m the co-host of a new YouTube talk show called Unorthodox Tea Time. On the show, my co-host Catherine and I spill “tea” (aka wine) and swap stories with people who are making a mark in their chosen industry and finding success despite an unorthodox approach. It offers unique insight into different aspects of creative industries and reaffirms that a traditional path is no longer required to find success.
We’ve already released this teaser, which gives you a glimpse of what to expect from Unorthodox Tea Time: a good amount of silliness, balanced with a genuine respect and interest in all things creative. We want to know the paths that led these producers, musicians, film directors, authors and animators to where they currently are, but we’re also asking about the embarrassing moments, pitfalls and surprises that happened along the way.
Our first full episode features Tremaine Williams of Six 7 Music. Tremaine is a music producer and Grammy board voter who has worked on Grammy award winning albums for Usher, Chaka Khan, Janet Jackson, Jill Scott and more. We asked Tremaine about being one of the youngest members on the Grammy board, the culture shock of relocating from South Carolina to Los Angeles and of course, how Roscoe’s measures up to Southern fried chicken!
